We have let the Republican party define what it means to be a Democrat for far too long. Painting us as extremists, unwilling to compromise or communicate with the other side. This is simply not true.

I firmly believe that a strong, unified Democratic party is the only way to move West Virginia forward, and I am happy to support any candidate that is backed by the West Virginia Democratic Party in the general election.

In standing with our party, I also uphold the WVDP’s public repudiation of Don Blankenship’s candidacy.
